New and Used Honda Information:
The Honda company was created by Soichiro Honda who got his first job in 1922 at an auto repair shop. He was 15 and had received just eight years of schooling but was hired as a new Mechanic Assistant. However he didn’t experience a lot of work in the workshop, instead his job turned out to be a baby-sitter for the owners children.
Frustrated with this he left, quitting his job for the big city. 6 months later though, he was called back and got the opportunity he was looking for. Honda loved the work and used his spare time to build race cars.
Honda experimented with different designs and concepts becoming an accomplished mechanic. Testing his cars at a local racetrack he entered his first competition in 1936 crashing in the final lap. Honda was badly injured though he broke a record for the average speed record in Japan. This record was not broken until 10 years later.
He used his grounding Honda eventually created his own company, one which now has cars around the globe, proving to be popular worldwide.
