The first Supras started life a long time ago as six-cylinder versions of the Celica. The Supra then evolved through two very different generations and the cars that featured their own unique styling are the two shapes examined here. When new, both generated rave reviews for their strong performance and abundance of luxury features. Toyota stopped importing the Supra in autumn 1996 and the last cars disappeared from dealers' showrooms towards the end of that year. Sales had never been strong and the Supra's home-market rivals, the Nissan 300ZX and Mazda RX7, had preceded its demise from the UK market some time before. Resale values have never been particularly strong, though the Supra has always had a trouble-free name. For the used buyer, then, one of these cars offers lots of speed and luxury at an affordable price.
